I miss doing this. I really do. And I think my other blog technically posted after midnight but whatever. I have the energy now. And I can't start reading about feminist theory at 1 am, and if I keep grading...well...
1. I am still majorly missing milk. On Sunday I dunked a cookie in coffee. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the same.
2. Dry shampoo is awesome. Seriously. Let's be real--between two kids and a phd program, I probably shower twice a week. Thank goodness for this crap. If only they made a spray on shower.
3. I haven't put laundry away since February--I think. And we aren't really good with doing our own laundry (I swear, kids always dressed). Today I have on my long white hippie skirts and layers of summer shirts to stay warm.
4. We bought our first set of grown-up knives and pots/pans. I have been obsessively chopping things. Don't worry--my husband has the obsession too.
5. I think I lost the crib sheets to L's crib. I am not sure it really matters since she really only plays in there or I fold clothes ther.e
7. I got into an argument with my toddler when she insisted that L needed a bottle. I went on a rant, and for the rest of the day she talked to me about breastfeeding.
8. I threw my copy of What to Expect When You are Expecting away. I also hid all of the copies at Target. Whatever.
9. My almost three year old isn't potty trained, and she doesn't care. Everyone says that she won't go to school in diapers. I am thinking for my own sanity I might start trusting "everyone"
10. I had my first panic attack ever in March. I had it on the husband's birthday in the middle of a thousand deadlines and a heap of grading. It was the worst experience of my life. It hasn't happened since.
11. I eat three different varieties of oatmeal. One is more of a cereal. It is in a bin labeled "birdseed"
now, i am really putting the blog away. for real this time.
